Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to low-voltage systems, including assembly, wiring, device programming, quality checks, forklift operations, documentation, leading projects, and managing project timelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and possesses excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

Assembly: Assemble low voltage systems and components according to provided specifications, blueprints, or technical documentation. Ensure accurate placement and secure connections of various components.

Wiring: Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring systems, including cables, connectors, and control panels. Ensure proper routing and labeling of wires to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

Device Programming: Program and configure low voltage devices such as security systems, access control systems, CCTV cameras, and audiovisual equipment. Test and verify the proper functionality of programmed devices.

Quality Checks: Conduct thorough quality checks on installed systems and components to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer requirements. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Documentation: Create accurate and detailed documentation of work performed,, test results, and project updates. Maintain organized records for future reference and troubleshooting purposes.

Project Management: Assist in planning and managing projects, including coordinating with operations, inventory, and internal teams. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or technical training in low-voltage systems are preferred.

Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician, including proficiency in assembly, wiring, and device programming.

Knowledge of low voltage systems, including security systems, access control, CCTV, and audiovisual equipment.

Familiarity with industry standards and codes, such as NEC and local regulations.

Strong technical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues. Use of Mulimeter

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and quality checks.

Leadership abilities to effectively guide and coordinate a team of technicians.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and client expectations.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
